Gold Hill Trail

The trail climbs to a ridgeline as you travel southwest to Tidbits Mountain. On the way, you meander through mature and old-growth mixed conifer forests. Columnar rock outcroppings above the route area delight to curious eyes.
There may be occasional blowdowns along the trail.
This trail joins the Tidbits Mountain Trail just before the summit of Tidbits Mountain.


Directions: This starts in a turn similar to the Tidbits Mountain Trail, but diverges later on.  Turn south off Highway 20 at mile 46.5 onto to Forest Road 2022 (Canyon Creek Road).  Canyon Creek Road is 13.6 miles east of the Sweet Home Ranger District office in Sweet Home.  Travel on Canyon Creek Road 15.7 miles to the junction of Forest Road 1509. Turn right and travel less than 0.5 miles to the trailhead on the right hand side. There is no parking lot, look for the trailhead sign.
