Forest Service Trail #3387 Site: Gordan Peak Trail

Don't confuse this with the Gordon Lakes Trail. This trail is in the northern part of the Sweet Home Ranger District, more in the middle of the proposed National Monument.
This trail starts on a ridgeline with periodic views of Mt. Jefferson and Three Fingered Jack. It gradually descends through mature and old-growth forests to join the Chimney Peak Trail near the Middle Santiam Wilderness boundary.
From the same trailhead you can also head northeast approximately 3.1 miles to the top of Scar Mountain. This will give you wonderful views along Scar Ridge. This trail also provides a link to the Old Cascade Trail System, and goes on to connect with the Scar Mountain Trail, listed by William Sullivan as Trappers Butte Trail.

Directions: From Sweet Home, travel east on Highway 20 for 4 miles to Quartzville Road and turn left. Travel approximately 40 miles to the east end of Forest Road 1152. Turn right onto Forest Road 1152. Thr trail head is 1.4 miles on the right.
